April 2025

Elevated prices continue to dominate the coffee industry, and everyone seems to be acting like a startled rabbit in the spotlight.

This month's objective is to avoid discussing how and why coffee prices are so high.
Instead, let's talk about some good things happening in the world of coffee around us.

Brazil has been one of the hardest-hit countries during the last few years.

First, there were frosts in July 2022, followed by 18 months of lower rainfall and almost drought-like conditions.

For those of you who don't know, Brazil is the world's largest producer of coffee by a significant margin and remains a true bellwether of the industry.

We were pleased to see the recent arrival in late March of our delicious new crop, Brazil Cambara.

This year, it's fruitier and more intense than ever, with amazing notes of cherry and chocolate. We can't wait for you to try it.

Honduras Microlot 87

Flying under the radar has been our highly popular Honduras 87.

The current lot is one of the most stylish, balanced and utterly delicious coffees ever.

Honduras 87 remain an all-time favourite of the myCuppa team.

What we love about the Honduras 87 is the sweetness and rich texture of the cup. I

t creeps up on you by stealth, smooth and creamy, but before you know it, the rich body and complex viscosity have overwhelmed the palate, leaving a long, sweet aftertaste that is glorious and Moorish.

Rwanda

Another great performing coffee is our Rwanda, with its classic butterscotch flavours, toffee and dark chocolate.

This is a delightful coffee, and we adore how the acids dance around with sublime sweetness in milk.
