Our large size enables us to have direct access to a high-speed hub that bypasses Melbourne Parcel Facility - a source of delays. We can't guarantee all parcels will bypass MPF as this is subject to route plans by the courier.
It is possible to reduce 1-2 days from the transit time by helping your parcel arrive sooner.

Sumatra Natural Filter-Roast Coffee Beans
Here we have something special, and let me tell you, this coffee is not available anywhere else (either here in Australia or globally) as we bought the entire farm's output.
A rare and exotic natural processed Sumatra coffee that we roast lighter in the "filter-style" to showcase all the juicy, sweet and delicious tasting fruit notes.
Prepared using our specialized filter roast platform with exceptional precision to ensure the best-tasting coffee experience.
This Sumatra Natural Filter Roast displays brown sugar, strawberry, and plum with elements of chocolate flavour at the finish.
This highly versatile coffee suits all alternative brew methods and applications requiring a lighter roast depth.
The body and finish of lighter-roasted coffees may be less deep or rich than traditional medium or espresso roasts.
Lighter roasted coffees, generally called "filter style," are not as "soluble" when used for espresso brewing.
With our 20+ years of roasting experience, we carefully prepare this filter-style coffee ideal for customers using contemporary or alternative brewing styles, such as Aeropress, Syphon, Moccamaster, Pour Over (such as a V60), or Cold Drip.
Roasted on a cast-iron drum system to impart maximum flavour, sweetness and acidity.
Why "Filter roast" is different from typical espresso roast
Filter-style roasts are much lighter in shade (colour) and will not have the same body as a medium or espresso roast coffee.
Essentially, the roast is not as deep, so attributes such as body are not fully developed.
In dairy (or dairy alternatives), a filter-style roast may lack sufficient flavour or finish, but that depends upon the brewing, extraction and recipe ratios you use for your beverage.
Like all coffee roasters, we recommend that filter-style roasted coffee is consumed as black or without added dairy (or dairy alternatives). But that's not a fixed rule by any stretch of the imagination.
Acid levels are significantly higher in the lighter-roasted "filter-style" like this Sumatra Natural, and some dairy alternatives may "react" adversely to these higher acids in the lighter roasted coffees.
If you add milk to your coffee, please consider one of our medium-roasted coffees, as they will perform better with dairy or dairy alternatives. You can see more of our Sumatra coffee beans here.

Why our coffees are different
Our custom SUPA-ROASTA is a one-of-a-kind, fully cast-iron platform using the most advanced computer controls for ultra-precise roasting of the best-tasting coffees.
These days, complete cast-iron roasting systems are extremely rare. Only cast-iron platforms can impart that highly desirable soft, moist heat into the coffee beans.
Would the best chefs and BBQ experts cook their culinary delights on Stainless, Alloy or Mild Steel or Air ?
Nope, neither would we.
mycuppa's SUPA-ROASTA creates coffees with smooth, rich, high-flavoured tastes, full and syrupy body, fine acidity and of course our trademark long, sweet finish.
Nothing compares.
how we roast your coffee
Roasting coffee is a precise science. These days, computer profiles perform most of the automated tasks for controlling a roast profile. However, through better quality control via tasting, testing and optimization, we can make a big difference to the finished product through setting special parameters.

Ground coffee is poor value
Whole beans are the only way to enjoy freshly roasted coffee.
The moment coffee beans are ground, most of the essential, active compounds in ground coffee oxidize rapidly, losing vitality, aroma, flavour and body.
Ground coffee barely lasts 15 minutes; even sealed packs lose more than 80% of the critical essence in 2 weeks.
Unfortunately, once you open and close that pack, it's game over, and the ground coffee continues to stale at 20x the rate of whole beans inside of a sealed, unopened pack.
If you love coffee, please don't waste money buying pre-ground packs; you only get a small part of the wonderful coffee experience.
Buy a decent grinder and purchase whole beans; it makes a huge difference in aroma, flavour, and enjoyment.
