Sulawesi is a rare coffee origin, producing only a small volume each season that is available for sale in the global market.

It is a difficult origin to source from and some years we are not able to buy Sulawesi coffees. In some instances, it was a five-year wait for a good-quality lot.

Like Sumatran coffee, it uses the same wet-hulled processing method to deliver a stronger, more pronounced flavour.

We like the spice elements and the complex array of flavours that make for an interesting cup. 

Our single-origin Sulawesi represents the best quality available in Australia.

  • Flavor

    Sulawesi is hard to describe within a set of flavor attributes. There is a lot going on here from caramel, cocoa, toffee, black currant, spice, chocolate, etc.

  • Acidity

    Medium and juicy. Hints of both citric and malic acids.

  • Best Suited For

    Plunger, filter, drip and percolator brews along with stovetop where the added flavors help build punch in the cup.
