Gorillas are not the only amazing things to come from the jungle slopes of Rwanda.

They also produce great quality coffees to rival those of Kenya and Uganda.

Okay, maybe the Gorillas might be more noteworthy, but our Rwandan coffee beans are pretty special none the less.

We roast our 100% Arabica Rwanda Inzovu coffee beans to a medium roast and can ship them as whole beans or ground to suit your needs. 

Our single origin Rwandan Inzovu coffee delivers a very sweet, rich, smooth coffee flavour with a long, lingering finish.

Similar to a Yirgachaffe but with less fruit and more chocolate notes.

We continue to be amazed by the versatility of this coffee and are absolutely loving this coffee - it's something very special indeed.

It is produced by a group of 30 coffee members in Rwanda who call themselves 'Urengerekawa' which means 'Let us protect coffee.'

The cooperative was formed in 2007 and the farms are located in the South Western part of the country in Rusizi district, Nyakabuye sector, Nyabintarecell, Barenga village (altitude 1'600 to 1'700 above sea level.)

In 2008 the members of the coop came up with an idea of having their own wet mill so that they could produce, treat and sell their own coffee with improved quality outcomes.

Each member of the coop owns an equal share and has between 350 to 2'500 coffee trees.

Good crop and high cherry prices of this season improved the welfare of many farmers, children's schooling and sorting out basic needs, which is awesome news and you can help continue that by trying the coffee they are also passionate about.
