Two(2) of our 1kg BARISTA blend whole bean packs.
Excellent general purpose coffee to suit a wide variety of brewing styles - espresso, plunger, filter, etc.
This is a coffee we have been producing, evolving and refining for more than 12 years and it was our very first blend offered into the Australian coffee market, so it holds a special place in our hearts.
Price includes free shipping to areas such as Victoria, NSW, South East QLD, TAS and Adelaide.
FREE Shipping is not available in remote areas such as WA, regional QLD and regional SA.
If you are based in those areas, please consider purchasing the cheaper 1kg bags of Barista and freight will be automatically calculated in the checkout, or you can obtain the shipping cost on the product page by entering the number of kilos and your postcode.
Without doubt, Barista is a top 3 seller in our store and a coffee that has a massive loyal following.
FREE DELIVERY TO YOUR HOME OR OFFICE
NOTE:- As of Feb 2017, we no longer provide FREE DELIVERY on this product to the areas of Australia that are distant from our Melbourne facility - if you reside in WA, NT, mid or North QLD or some remote parts of SA we are sorry, but there is no longer a free delivery offer on this product.
Freight costs continue to rise - there is another way you can enjoy this incredible produce by ordering the cheaper 1kg bags of Barista.
Barista was one of our first coffees we created back in 2007 and as a blend it has evolved over time to be a trusted favorite amongst our regular loyal customers - it remains a sentimental and personal coffee that we are both satisfied and proud to offer.
Barista is a seasonal coffee which means the profile of the coffee will vary slightly over 6 monthly periods as we apply blending formulas that utilize our best options each season - a coffee that continues to evolve.
This coffee won a Bronze Medal at the Golden Bean in December 2011 for Milk-Based Espresso - it's a classic "dark horse" that delights and surprises (we stopped entering competitions in 2017).
NOTE: This is a special deal for 2x 1kg packs of whole beans only.
This bundle deal does not include grinding of the coffee beans - whole beans only.
If you require ground coffee, please see our standalone Barista packs and select the appropriate grind setting to suit your brew method.
An important note about the term "free delivery".
Nobody provides "free delivery" in a true sense - it's a real cost and someone has to pay.
Merchants selling on the internet with "Free Shipping" have already built the cost of freight into their product price - nobody is going to sell at a loss by offering free shipping, unless of course if the product is defective or distressed inventory they need to clear.
All our standalone coffee bean prices are discounted across the entire range as we sell our premium grade coffees up to 40% cheaper than our competitors.
Putting aside price, we know our coffees are also significantly fresher than our competitors because we roast every day, 6 days a week, including public holidays.
The difference is really about freshness.
Our products are not something that has been sitting on a retail shelf, stored in a warehouse pallet or a distributor's showroom for weeks or months.
We are the roaster and it comes direct from us with no middleman in between - we roast in the morning, it's packed at lunchtime and goes out the door in the late afternoon - a cycle we repeat every day.
So when it comes to FREE SHIPPING, please understand that freight companies are not magic fairies that carry your parcels for nothing - there are real costs involved and as many of you know, freight in Australia is expensive.
We have done our best to subsidize the freight component on this 2KG BARISTA offer so that people who live outside of the Melbourne metro area can also enjoy this fresh roasted, high quality product at an affordable price, delivered to their door.
Typically, in most regional areas of Australia customers are paying more than $40 a kilo for stale, low-grade coffee. Our coffees are superior in quality and freshness.
Freight prices are variable from postcode to postcode and the further you are away from Melbourne, the more expensive the freight - in some cases like South East QLD and regional NSW we can end up losing money on this 2KG coffee bean bundle.
So before you send us an email querying your calculations because you live in Melbourne and you don't think the free delivery product is actually saving you money - plrease read and understand the information above, or purchase multiple kilos of the 1kg Barista product as shipping in Melbourne is a low flat rate up to 18kg.
This coffee, along with our Espresso blend were the very first 2 coffees I created more than a decade ago.
Ironically, this was a classic Italian-style and we found the Australian palate prefered some brighter notes and a sweeter finish in milk.
A simple and elegant blending strategy, but we discovered it was too similar to everyone else's coffees - so to set it apart we took a different approach.
I really enjoy roasting Barista as the blend contains 5 different beans consisting of washed, naturally pulped and sundried processing types.
This coffee has something for everyone - it is designed to appeal to the general majority of coffee drinkers.
Barista is a highly versatile blend - working across various brew methods with ease - for this reason we will always recommend this coffee to people wanting to try our coffee for the very first time.
Barista now commands a loyal and strong following of devotees amongst the mycuppa customers.
It's not unusual for us to run out of this coffee most weekdays, so it's roasted every night to ensure fresh coffee is being sent out the door.
When you look at what customers order and in particular, when they are repeatedly ordering the same coffee, over and over, you gain some valuable insights as to how popular and enduring a coffee will remain over time.
Without doubt, our Barista Blend has a big cult following and I often ask myself a few questions - is it the postage bundle deal, is it the sublime balance this coffee produces or is it just one of those very drinkable coffees that appeals to the everyday coffee drinker ?
The answers to these questions are often found when customers call and place phone orders - I take the opportunity to ask them why they stick with the same coffee...........because it performs flawlessly and consistently.
A coffee that can please anyone.......not easy to produce.
