Xmas and New Year Closure

We ask our customers to please be aware of the following key dates:-

Final Roasting and Dispatch will be @ 12 Noon (midday) Wednesday 23rd December 2015
Roasting Schedules commence @ Saturday 2nd January 2016
First Dispatch @ Monday 4th January 2016

Our online store will remain open and accepting orders for the duration of the Xmas and New Year periods but there will be no parcels sent out between 24/12/15 and 3/1/16.
To avoid disappointment, we recommend placing orders so that you can receive your coffee before Xmas allowing for freight transit times. Please use the following guidelines (note these are business days and weekends need to be added where applicable):-

VIC Melbourne metro - 2 business days

NSW Sydney Metro, SA Metro, TAS Metro and VIC Regional - 3 business days

QLD Brisbane Metro, TAS Regional, SA Regional, NSW Regional - 4 business days

WA Perth Metro, QLD Regional, NT Darwin Metro - 5 business days

WA Regional, QLD Far North Regional - 6 to 7 business days.

As always, we strive to send your orders fast same day if received by 4pm, but we (along with every other merchant in Australia) are at the mercy of peak freight periods in the lead up to Xmas - it is always better to get in a bit early as congestion in the parcel network can occur at any time.

From the team at mycuppa.com.au, we wish you a Merry Xmas and a safe, prosperous New Year.

Freight Update

Following on from the AusPost Safe Drop feature released last month, we have undertaken major changes to the ways in which freight is both offered and calculated.
The changes to zones and rates were in response to amendments by freight providers.
The devil in the detail will bore many of you to tears ........so instead of this blog even longer, we will highlight these changes below and for those of you brave enough to learn more about the changes, there is a link that explains information.

Most capital cities now have 2 zones for the metro area - inner and outer. Naturally, outer has a different rate. There are winners and losers in this round.........but unfortunately we can't change the rules that allow everyone to win.

TNT Express has been added to most zones as an option to have it delivered fast. This service is more expensive for smaller orders and more economical for larger orders. We have been using the system for more than 12 months and it's really good.

Parcel Lockers

AusPost continue to expand their Parcel Locker infrastructure and it's pleasing to see an increasing number of our customers use the Parcel Lockers for their online orders.
Parcel Lockers are a terrific initiative and allow 24/7 access to freight collection without the traditional restrictions and inconveniences associated with collecting items from the LPO.
