The caffiene is extracted using a patented process that retains all the flavours of coffee.

Please NOTE:

Decaf coffees are significantly darker in the green bean state when compared to traditional coffee beans.

Once roasted, Decaf coffees appear very dark (almost black) and may emit a sheen of oil 2-3 days after roasting.

This dark colour of roasted decaf does not mean the coffee was over-roasted or is stale.

We have developed a reputation for roasting some of the best decaf in Australia and it starts with selecting and using the absolute best quality decaf green beans.  

Most roasters struggle to roast decaf as they don't do it very often and it's lighter, darker and different moisture and density to traditional coffees.

For this reason. most roasting companies end up over-roasting their decaf making it bitter and ashy.

Our roasting equipment has finer control of air and temperature enabling us to produce a wonderfully soft heat that really suits the decaf roasting process.
